With the advent of social media these days food photography has become a genre in its own right. You might like to have a go at this area photography as it can be a lot easier and an interesting one because you have shapes and colours to work with and can also utilise lighting and various angles. While a professional photographer has the advantage of having a food stylist to prepare and arrange the food, but you can do it yourself. Don’t be scared to give it a shot, a basic setup for food photography is using plenty of light, angling the camera down on a 45 degree angle, also utilise a diffuser if you can, and if possible you can even utilise a small LED video light just to give extra highlights and to give a sparkle to the meal, and get lighting from a different direction.
